Lemon Zinger Tea

I’m drinking lemon zinger tea

Thinking of all of the things I could be

Thoughts swirl through my mind such as

If I took a trip or cut my hair

If I wrote a book or used better skincare

Would I feel differently?

I let myself daydream for a bit

Then with my tea in hand, I sit

And be with myself

Because

Underneath all of the chatter

Is a desire

That may never be filled

By things

It waxes and wanes

Like the moon

If I sit with my tea

Let things be

So soon

I might feel

Peace
